    Looking to upgrade my 1GB Ram in my Asus A8JP to 2GB, can anyone recommend what brand to buy and where to buy it?

    Any brand is fine as long as they have a lifetime warranty(which most do so i would look for the cheapest). Look at the hot ram deals thread for great prices on DDR2-667/533 ram.

    I think your notebook have 2x512mb sticks so you will need to replace both sticks to achieve 2gb.

    Ah yea, I think my notebook does have 2x512...so i would have to get 2 1gb sticks..any suggestions on what to do with the sticks i take out?

    You could always sell them on ebay/ here(in the Buy/Sell/Trade section)/Craigslist(locally) or keep them just incase your new sticks of ram go bad and you need a replacement until the bad sticks get dealt with or give them to a friend with a laptop(that supports DDR2 ram).
