    I bought the 64GB G.skill 155/90 MB/s Read/write.. benchmarks are coming ;)

I now understand why people say hard driver are crap... boot from thinkpad splash to desktop: 5 seconds... it takes 4x longer to shut down than boot!

and Benchies are coming!!! when I install everything of course! the screws are tiny and had a horrible time getting them back in lol.

did you do partition alignment? XP needs this if you created the partition during install. Vista aligns properly.

booting is about 1/2 to 3/4 the speed of a 320GB 5400rpm standard disk.

I give a few examples how how fast it is...
internet explorer with Google as my home page take about 1/10 of a second to load.
I don't even see the sign in screen on boot it goes from the vista logo to my desktop.
I just installed Java JDK 6 u12 and the loading bar went from 0% to a 100% is 1 second.
transferring off my USB stick ~35-40MB/s(I have a good USB stick).
    installed Vista x64 in 22min's
