i just went trhough this problem, u got any other dell charger that fits to try? if it charges with other charger means ur charger chip that identifies the type of charger blew up, and will power the laptop but wont charge battery ask dell for replacement, if no other charger woks means ur motherboard might have some problem and need replacement o0! hope is the charger like mine and got it replaced the next day and everyting cool now! ^_^

what revision is it? i heard and seems like the faulty ones are rev. 01.... the one that failed on me... and replaced with rev. 04 wich seems to be the fixe version, they even changed manufacturer, the rev. 01 is made by liteon and this one i dont know but some chinesse crazy guys xD anyway the problem with rev.01 was some id chip inside that gets desoldered from the charger, thus, charger cannot be identified and battery, for safety, wont charge, cause is unknown charger, but will power the laptop with or without battery anyway! so get it replaced if u are in warrantly and if not, make sure u buy a revision higher than 04 xD! i guess ur system uses a 90watts adapter like mine make sure is same wattage!
