Hello folks, sorry should read 7520.
I have an ACER 7520 with and intel bg mini-pci nic I want to swap out for a 3945 abg, however when I install the card and boot the machine, it is not detected by XP, is this some sort of whitelist BIOS issue or a windows driver. The nic does not appear in the device manager. Anybody know why this nic is not detected. I have tried it in other machines Dell D610) and it seems to be in working order.

    Thanks

    Andrew

Are you 100% sure it is installed properly in the slot?

Hi Goofball, yup, in fact I have tried three different cards in three different laptops, each one needs to have the card screwed in place. I have checked for a film over the contacts etc but can't see one.
