    ACER 5050 Help Needed URGENTLY!!

    I have the laptop above was handed to someone I know to do a simple job, replace the power jack on it! It is for a collegue in work, the guy took on the job claiming he cud do it, an its been 2 weeks the laptop is back and supposedly in working order.

    it isnt tho, and upon removing enuf to see the area, there is something missing, theres no powerjack at all, no usb connections(they are on that side) it looks like the guy has removed some part totally.

    can someone please tell me what its called, and where I could possibly get it from

    i have attatched a pic as to where the missing piece has come from, any help would be appreciative!

    First: Work on your spelling, seriously. It makes hard to even read your fricken post.

    Second: That pic is WAY to small to see what could possibly go there, but from the curvature that I can see it -almost- looks like a heatpipe would go there from the heatsink to the fan or something, but again, that pic is WAY to small.
