Just got the AS4715-4053 and just wondering if I can upgrade the RAM from 2gb to 4gb without any problem? According to the spec max RAM is up to 2GB only. Can I still upgrade it to 4GB of RAM?

A shame your thread got no replies. When I Googled your info yesterday nothing turned up. I went to Acer site and nothing so did not post. Can you give us different info. Run CPU-Z (free) tell us what chipset you have. What CPU. If you have a current Intel CPU and have a GL960 2GB is the official maximum but much with this chipset seems to be incorrect in some cases. I believe I have read about some being able to go above 2GB and others who couldn't. Even if this chipset does support more than 2GB (contrary to published) BIOS and MoBo could limit. So unless you can get a 2GB stick to mix with another stick for free to test I would not risk it as it likely will will not work, but it might? Good luck.
Can you provide a link to your spec? Oh and on a 32bit OS the most you can hope for is just over 3GB's, this is any and all even ones that say they support 4GB's -
Here's the link for the computer I'm talking aobut. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115464&Tpk=as4715-4053
Thanks -
The link does not say, but it is a GL960. All I said before applies. It may or may not work. You can upgrade the CPU if that matters?
