    ADATA XM11 256GB seems to be dead/failure / not recognized in bios!!!

    Does anyone have any info how to backup a ssd disk even it cannot be recognized by the bios!?

    I had no chance to try it. Do you have any suggestion for an adaptor to check it in a usb of a working pc??

    That's a SandForce-based SSD, correct? If that's the case the fact that it has "disappeared" from BIOS likely equals the controller failure.

    Shut the machine down, remove the SSD, attempt re-insertion and boot after a few hours. If the boot is successful, rescue anything important that's on the drive then and there.

    Well already givven it to service, do you think it is worth paying 200$ to take the failed ssd back? Do i have any chance to recover files if i get it back?

    I mean if it fais/died etc. is there a way to recover data with an adaptor which can convert it to sata or usb disk??
