    I went and bought a battery via amazon. The battery looked oem, but when it arrived it definitely wasnt as the picture showed. Didnt even charge. Sent it back.
    So, without going crazy trying to figure out who you recommend to get a replacement battery from for this old laptop. Good laptop used for many things including tuning of my vehicles.

    For myself: if I couldn't get it directly from Asus, I would be looking for a new notebook.

    (Yeah; I know - extreme - but that is the reality I've seen over the last few decades).
