    Hi folks,

AMD has started shipping LLano to OEMs and official release is in June. Does anyone have any idea if it is a desktop and larger notebook chip only or will it also come to netbooks, similar to the present AMD Fusion chip which is found in HP dm1z and Thinkpad X120e. Just wondering..

    Thanks!

Zacate will be getting a couple of new APU models including the E-450 in Q3, but Llano is for mainstream notebooks (~13" to 18.4") and desktops...it's not meant to replace Zacate in "netbooks."

It's rumored that the 28nm Wichita replacements for Zacate have been taped out, though odds are those won't start selling until the end of the year or more likely the beginning of 2012.

I see .. thanks a lot for the info .. I was just wondering whether to go for the current Fusion E-350 APUs or wait for some time for a newer chip..

If you have something already then id wait. We are talking 2-3 more weeks i think. I have a lenovo X120e and its really nice. long battery life, runs cool/quiet. games are playable (though settings on low)

I think i saw a "leaked" slide from AMD showing the gaming performance on the new APUs compared to Sandy Bridge + IGP.
Only game that had trouble was Crysis. Lol
