Basically what I want to know is this :both having 1.8ghz but one with 512kb and the other with 1mb cache, is there a great deal of difference in performance between these two processors?
thx.

about 3-5%
won't be huge, but every overclocker knows that you can't fake cache.
you could overclock, (so i'd rather have a 1.6 1mb cache than a 1.8 512k cache) -
There are rated based on their performance. ML-34 is supposed to be equivalent to Athlon64 3000+ and ML-32 is Athlon64 2800+. So, you know where they stand in performance.
Since, they both belong to 1800Mhz core, they both would offer same power saving, but having 1Mb cache helps when both run at lowest stepping(800Mhz). If the price difference is not much, then I would go with ML-34. EitherWay, you are not going to loose much. -
For the average user there wont be much difference between the ML 32 and 34. More cache is usually better but I would suggest getting one depending on the price difference between the 2 processors.
AMD MT-32 1.8/512KB vs. MT-34 1.8/1MB
