    hi, i was wondering the difference between this turion and core duo2

    Which one is better

    AMD Turion 64 X2 TL52 (Dual Core CPU) - 1MB cache 1,6 GHz with PowerNow!

    or

    Core duo 2 at 1,6 GHz

    Core 2 Duo, it has a better batterylife and it is faster.

    AMD Turion X2 is almost as fast as a Core Duo. Core 2 Duo is faster then the Core Duo (around 5-10%). So the Core 2 Duo is faster then the Turion X2.
    But both are great processor, also for gaming.

    The Core 2 Duo will be a bit quicker but the Turion X2 will probably be cheaper. So it depends on what your budget is.

    Either way I doubt you would notice the performance difference between them in general tasks.
