hi all, to make this quick i am stuck between two proccessors

    AMD Turion 64 X2 @ 2.0ghz 1mb cache(one in new ferrari 5000
    or
    Intel Core (2) Duo T2600 2.16ghz...

can some one find bench marks for these chips??

seriously i DO NOT want a flame 'intel vs AMD'

i just asking if some know's of benchmarks for these chips, also for an equivalient core 2 duo? i just want to see how much faster the intel is compaired to the AMD, or the other way around.

so in other words i do not care for a fight, just facts.

    thanks in advance everyone. :)

none of the other specs don't matter as they are basically the same.

I would go with the T2600 or Core 2 Duo as the Core 2 Duo is like the same as Turion X2

You say that the T2600 is a core 2 duo? It's not, it's only a Core Duo which isn't as good are the new Core 2's. I will tell you this, I have a dv6000t and my friend has a dv6000z same exact specs except his has the Turion X2 and mine has the Core 2 duo, both are 2.0 Ghz. My system blows his away literally, I was at one time a big AMD supporter but I have to say that Intel is by far and away leading the Dual Core chip market at this time.

i think compsavy meantget either a core duo t2600 or a core 2 duo t7200. as for OP i think he meant core duo or (2) like as in core duo or core 2 duo not core 2 duo t2600 but i could be wrong... he might be wrong, and im sure he means either core duo 2.16ghz or core 2 duo 2.16ghz either way the core 2 duo is much better than the amd 2.0ghz so as for the acer ferrari... yeah... you make your own opinions... the only thing like a ferrari about the acer ferrari is the heat of the engine (cpu)... they are both HOT!!!

dont be fooled by the benchmarks out there, as half of them have nothin to do with real life performance(super pi...etc) Core 2 Duo outperforms X2 in some tests but this doesnt mean that Turion is a bad processor. It has its strong points too.
    Here some benchz http://xtreview.com/review81.htm

Put simply, the C2D will offer superior performance per watt, and it will run cooler. However it is more expensive. Btw, I don't think the C2D model names are T2600... but I could be wrong.

The Core 2 Duo frequency equivalent to the T2600 is the T7400. Such as what I'm getting, if Intel ever ships the darn things to powernotebooks ;)
