All of the sites I see that offer the Asus s96j all have Intel processors in them. My question is: Is it possible to put an AMD Turion 64 in an Asus s96j?

The AMD Turion and Intel Core Duo use different sockets. So it's not possible to use a differnt CPU brand or line (ie not even another intel of a different generation).

Seeing as how the S92J is a Verified By Intellaptop, I dont see any way in hell, that Intel will allow a turion in there.

Beside like everyone already said, they are very different from each other.

Yeah, the days of being able to replace an Intel chip with an AMD one are long gone. They are way too different to be even close to being relplacable even if they share the same pin numbers or socket.
