AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core RM-75 is it any good right now they have a dell laptop with this cpu for $400.00 I was wondering if theres any thoughts on it. How does it compare with an i3 330 cgipset

If you're talking about an i3 330M (vs an 330UM), it does not compare favourably.
However, depending on price/availabity in your location with a similarly spec'd notebook with an i3 330M that price may be worth considering.
If, however, it is performance you're seeking - ignore AMD's. -
The old AMD 65nm CPUs are awfully hot, so i would not recommend that one.
The newer AMD 45nm CPUs are called either Turion, Athlon or Phenom with II (2) after the name.
Example: AMD Phenom II -
The i3 330M would be much faster, as would an older Core 2 Duo at that clock speed.

Too old(more than 2 years)and not competitive to anything in the market specially in energy consumption.
