    Hi,

I read a comment on tabletpcreview about the tx1000, or more specifically the choice of processor.
If I got this laptop i would be quite heavily using photoshop on it - would you say this statement is true?

The model I would look at has the AMD 64 X2 TL56.

While I'm posting a new topic, may I also ask is there a direct comparison between C2D and AMD64x2? I gather C2D is better, how would the TL56 stack up to the [email protected]?

Direct comparisons are incredibly hard, because unlike in desktops its not easy to find two laptops that differ only in processor. Check out the WPrime benchmarks for an idea of how the TL's stack up.

That AMD should run Photoshop just fine.

AMD cpus often get more bad press than they are due. A quick look at our wPrime tables in hardware (byebye to superpi, see odin's link above) thread shows they perform competitively.

A TL-56 will run photoshop very well. Whilst a T5450 might prove to be more powerful, the upgrade is not really worth it just for photoshop.
