Good stuff, finally AMD has something to offer. Too bad this won't be out for over a year and a half from now...

AMD has been making many promises, but there haven't been any actual releases. I really wish AMD produced some new stuff that could compete with Intel. It would benefit us all.

AFAIK the fusion chip was announced way back when ATi was purchased and then it was said 2-3 years till we saw them arrive. So aren't we looking at 2008/2009 to see them? Personally I dont think we will as they were supposed to be based on the Phenom and that is rubbish. Silly BIOS patches and stupid slow speeds dont make the Phenom that great a processor.

Well as i know phenom 2.3Ghz is about the same speed as intel Q6600 so its a very good CPU and Black Edition version with unlocked multiples is also very cheap, the down side is that it is avaible in very small range of frequesns. I think when them gona dieshrink it, it will be able to run att very high clock speeds and be a very powerfull CPU. Qeustion is if them gonna be able to do that before intel launches next gen CPU and how much faster next gen would be.

Um, that was on the initial revision of the chip. It's not something that's going to affect all Phenom-based chips forever. It's something that gets fixed, and then... the problem is gone.
