The "ASD" buttons on my keyboard are failing. For the past hour they seemed to randomly work/not respond at all...which is quite frustrating.
What could be the cause of it? I didn't spill anything, and there's no debris underneath the buttons (sprayed it thoroughly with canned air).
Could it be the motherboard? Or maybe the button connectors (i think that's how you call them?) are worn out ?
The laptop is ~2 years old, but I have always taken good care of it.

Luckily new replacement keyboard are very cheap on ebay.
-
If it was the motherboard, then ALL the keys would be failing.
Do you game a lot? Using the WASD keys? If you do, extended wear could be the problem there. Your keyboard is just...dying. You'll have to get a new one... -
Your ASD keys wouldn't be failing if you were using your EDF keys to game with instead. EDSF is far superior to WASD.
-
lol using EDF keys is awkward so ASD is better and more superior

N52TE keypad > WASD > ESDF.
Seriously, though...Sephael, it sounds like you just need a replacement keyboard, which should be less than $50 on eBay or whatever. What exact model do you have? -
Will look it up sometime this week, It's the sticker on the back of the keyboard right?

wow, this is weird.
It's not just the asd buttons..
it's:
asd jkl;
what the hell? -
Ya, I'd get that bad boy fixed ASAP. -
Could it possibly be a faulty motherboard? I dont want to get one thing fixed just to find out it wasnt the cause
