Finally continuing the previous thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...-get-for-asus-k53sv-dh51.758437/#post-9734963

I ordered the ebay caddy and have a crucial mx100 256gb both on the way.
My current hard drive has 2 partitions: OS that has 145 free of 238 gb and a second one that's basically steam 212 out of 332 gb's.

Going to try and get my old pc's hard drive connect to the Internet and drop everything of importance before the clean install.

Is it okay to use these iso's for the install? http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325/ Not quite sure what's the process for an oem win7..

Also is there a way to check all the drivers needed? I found the asus website about the k53sv but for this like lan adapter there's many different options?

Mostly keeping this open for the problems I'll run into during the install~

On the Win7 download page you linked to, it says not to download those, but to download these: http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325/page-2#post-124821

Otherwise yeah, that is fine. Keep your old drive just how it is in case you have any problems. You can just swap the drives to go back to download anything you might need. If you can't figure out which ethernet adapter driver you need, just download them all and try them one by one. I have had to do that sometimes myself.

Oh! Just remembered I don't think the SSD is coming with those plastic rectangle things you use to fill up the extra space in the slot, should I bother looking on ebay for it or can I stuff in some cardboard instead?

Side question, I'm clean installing a desktop, got an iso from the link above ( win7 pro x86) and It's not letting me format due to the fact that it already had a windows 7 install from what I read.

What can I do to get a fresh install on it?

edit: lol I just booted the usb from the bios and it works, probably doesn't format because window still runs in the background.
