Not sure if this is ASUS specific so post here.

    Clean win 7
    Shut down perfectly
    Boot up perfectly.
    Connect perfectly.
Hang in middle of restart with power on.

Unplug card and restart fine ~~

Any thoughts? Not sure if the 6200 is branded or not ~~

Edit: I believe it has 4 "box" on the right and no box on the left iirc

Have you tried completely uninstalling the drivers for the card and then reinstalling the latest ones? Did you uninstall the Atheros drivers before installing the 6200?

Just tested, definitely driver issue. restart fine when the driver not installed.

tried 3 version, no going, see if any setting that have to do with it.

restart fine when I disable it, seem like restart can't kill the driver/adapter but shut down can zzz SO ANNOYING ~~

Cant find anything to get it work ~~, getting another 6200 in a few days( for my other machine), see if it helps. 5Ghz + better range vs no restart , I pick 5ghz anyday zzz.

I had some problems with some prior 14.x.x.xx, earlier versions of 13.x.x.x didn't cause much problems though, you could try one of those if you haven't already.

Otherwise, uninstall the adapter through the device manager until the computer can't find a default driver for it. restart and then try reinstalling your drivers.

Yes, I have had this problem with Intel cards on other ASUS systems that had Atheros cards stock and no model configuration option for Intel wifi. It is some sort of BIOS problem.

Happens with Linux too, so it's not purely a driver/OS issue.
