Hey all, I'm new to this forum so pardon me if I posted in the wrong place...
I have had an ASUS X750JB notebook for about a year now and I've been doing a decent amount of gaming on it. The heat resulting from long gaming sessions resulted in the vent to warp and eventually crack and break. This didn't concern me as much, but I did tone back the computer usage.

Recently, the fan started to make noise and while it doesn't seem to be spinning any slower (actually, I think that it's spinning faster), it is just really annoying to have to deal with in public in quiet places. I've searched online for replacement fans but I can't seem to find anyplace where they are selling X750JB fans. I've spoken to ASUS and of course they want me to send it in so that they can take a look at it for their fee.

TL;DR: I need a new fan for my X750JB notebook and I can't find a place that sells them. Does anyone know a seller? Or, does anyone know an alternative that I can maybe install into my laptop?

    Thanks.

    1. Clean out your system with compressed air or high powered vacuum.
    2. Repaste your CPU and GPU
    3. Please report before and after temps.

If your vents broke from being too hot, then something isn't right. You can buy replacement parts at asusparts.eu. You will pay a bit of a premium but should have everything you need. Faster and faster spinning fans is a telltale sign of dust bunnies and gunk build up in your system. Don't be afraid to open that sucker up, since it sounds like you don't have warranty anyhow if Asus wants you to pay, so nothing to lose. You should still be able to open it up without voiding warranty too.
