    ATA Harddrive

    I have an *"Ultra ATA"* Harrdrive. Which i believe is 21 pins total. 2x11 (with one missing.)
    Ive also read that this is really known as PATA. Parallel ATA. tru?
    And PATA alwasy seems to be paired or with IDE...Are they like the same or something? :eek: :confused:

    I either need to find a cheap enclosure, usb
    or convert it to IDE or SATA. :(

    Whatd i need to do that exactly nw?

    PATA and IDE are more or less the same thing. If you want an enclosure, you can look for a PATA or an IDE enclosure, just make sure it's 2.5" or 3.5" depending on the form factor of said drive. Your first and second link should both work on 2.5" PATA/IDE drives, but they both do different things...

    Your dv9500T has ICH8M chipset. So the optical drive is pata. If prepared to swap it in/out, could get a 12.7mm PATA caddy for that you could be the HDD into as shown here. Otherwise there are plenty of ebay 2.5" IDE USB enclosures for very little money.
