I have an old Dell Latitude D400 that I bought used a couple of years ago and it recently died, but I'm pretty sure the hard drive is still good. I want to put the old hard drive in a hard drive enclosure, but the ATA connector on the hard drive doesn't match the one on the enclosure.

I've attached a picture of the pins on the hard drive. They aren't separate pins, they're all against a black card.

Is there a particular type of enclosure I should be looking for that will work for this hard drive?

    Thanks!

that small adaptor does come off.
Use a small flat head screwdriver, and slowly pry it off, by alternating ends. Go back and forth, slowly and it will come off.
Dont pull the adaptor off in one shot, you will most likely bend or pull out some of the pins, making the drive useless.

Good luck, and welcome to nbr,
