Are there any EU sellers that sell the ATI 6970M?

    I have a MSI GX660R.

I don't want to buy from the US or Canada as they will/may declare the full value of the card and I will have to pay 30% on top when I receive it. Eurocom and Fortnax had a cheaper price than MXM Upgrade.

    Is the card working ok?

The card is working great, though the fan control doesn't work so far, I'll work at a solution when I have some more time. Atm I use HWinfo32 for controlling the fan speed manually, but this won't work on your machine afaik.

Anyway, you'll need to contact MXM-upgrade before ordering as they don't sell it for your system... otherwise you won't get warranty on the card. If you live in the EU you pay quite a high price because of the VAT, but importing the card from the US/CA won't be cheaper.
If you live in Europe, but in a country that's not in the EU you can get the card cheaper as they won't charge you the VAT.

I don't know your machine, but keep in mind that you may need to modify your heatsink. Also what kind of PSU do you have? 150W?

Edit: Has anyone already tried a 6970m in your systems? There's also the possibilty that it won't work at all.

    What do you mean?

The GX660R does use the MXM 3.0 type b connector.

    I am getting a Targus 180w PSU.

Someone has successfully installed the 6970m in a GX660R but they had do very minor heatsink modifications.
