I updated to Catalyst 10.6 about a week ago and I've had no problems until today.

I noticed that whenever I try to play one specific video embeded on a web page, the video box turns green and I get an error message in my system tray indicating the ATI display driver has stopped working and no other flash videos are playable.

I reboot and the same problem occurs, only if I try to play this specific flash video in Google Chrome.

I tried playing the video in Internet Explorer; however, it doesn't appear on the webpage in IE. Haven't tried Firefox.

Here is a link to the specific video that is causing problems on gameinformer.com:

EDIT: It played fine when I uninstalled all ATI software and drivers and reboot the system. Then, after installing Catalyst 10.7, there were no further problems.

After a bit of research, it seems that some others had reported problems with Flash video playback using 10.6

it was some combination of gpu hardware acceleration in flash 10.1, a new codec streaming places were using, and catalyst drivers below 10.7
