I am considering toshiba A300D - 14P. However, it's not very clear to me if the video card is a dedicated one. The model specifications are as follows:
    • CPU
    AMD Athlon X2 QL-60 (1.9GHz, 1MB Cache)

    • Chipset
    ATI Radeon HD3200
    • LCD
    15.4" WXGA TruBrite (1280x800)

    • Memory
    2+1 GB (DDR2-667MHz)

    • VGA
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200 supporting HyperMemory technology 256 MB
    • HDD
    250GB SATA (5400rpm)/
    • Optical storage
    DVD Super Multi drive DL

    • Communications
    56K Modem/ LAN/ Wireless LAN (802.11a/b/g)/ Bluetooth

    • Expansion slots
Integrated 1.3 Megapixels Video Camera (Toshiba Face Recognition Technology), 5-in-1 Bridge Media slot (SD Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, MultiMedia Card, xD-Picture Card)/ TV-out/HDMI-OUT / VGA /HD IEEE 1394/ 4x USB 2.0

    • Audio
HD Audio Sound Blaster Pro supporting, Integrated microphone
    • Battery
    6-Cell Li-Ion Battery Internal

    • Operating system
    Windows Vista Home Premium Edition

Additionally, could you pls tell me how is the video performance of this video card compared to Ge Force 7300 GO. I am offered to swap my current lap with the above Toshiba but I am afraid that it wont be capable of running Half Life 2.

    Thanx in advance!

hd3200 is much faster than a go 7300. even though it's integrated.
    hl2 will be playable on 1024*768 medium/high.

If you want a laptop that plays games, well don't bother getting a laptop with a graphic's card below 50 or so on this list and if you can afford it 20 up is top shelve.

Didn't you see the list on that link I posted last reply, doesn't that a genius to see they're both average, the HD 3200 is 98/170 and the GO 7300 is 108/170

The ATI Radeon Mobility HD 3200 is actually based on the previous-generation ATI Radeon Mobility HD 2400 (a discrete graphics card). The graphics core of the HD 2400 has simply been integrated into the AMD chipset, but the HD 3200 relies on shared system memory (RAM).

The ATI HD 3200, despite being an integrted graphics card, outperforms entry-level discrete graphics cards such as the nVIDIA 8400M GS.

Thnx for the replies. I didn't realize that an integrated card could be faster than a dedicated one despite being a very old model.

you don't have to be rude, it doesn't take an idiot to realise that the notebookcheck benchmarks are a bit iffy because you could be comparing a 7300 that had a Core 2 Duo T7800 to a Core Solo T1200 that had an ATI 3200
