I've not have much luck answering my question(s) regarding the new ATI Radeon integrated graphics. I've seen a few tests using the new AMD Turion Ultra processors along with the new ATI Radeon 3200 intergrated graphics solution and I'm impressed. With the performance of the 3200, I will strongly consider integrated graphics as a viable option for my next notebook purchase.

I've been running across another integrated graphics processor called the ATI Radeon 3100 (mostly on budget-oriented Toshiba models so far). All I've learned thus far is that it is basically a 3200 stripped of some features...anyone have more detailed information or further insight?

    Thanks!

No info on the 3100, but I do know the 3200 will be on par with x1600/7600 and 2400/8400 models. So it wont be a slouch in light/lower res gaming on the go.

I think the M780G with the HD 3200 supports ATI Hybrid Graphics Technology, so the notebook should have another discrete graphics processor unit too....

Check out this link, it throws some light on the features of both HD 3100/3200..!!

Good call on the estimate, the 3dmark score shows it so.

sorry ive been really out of the computing sphere for the past 4 years...

when you say you nearly died inside, is that because 3k is high for something like that, or is it so awful? :p

Well for 3dmark05 it was that score of a mid range card 2 years ago. When a IGP (integrated graphics) score on par with a 2 year old mid level card and a low end dedicated card (8400/2400) it goes against all I ever knew about IGP's and what they are capable.

Remember though, those scores are achieved with 64MB of sideported memory? So 64MB dedicated memory.
