I decided to install NHC aka Notebook Hardware Control.. I don't know how can NHC can interfer with my graph card seetting, but I accepted the default value. After that i decided to disable CLI.exe and Ati Hotkey Poller from the tasks since I heard they were not important and they were only resource consuming.

Know, after a reboot my Ati X1400 seems to have significantly increase his clock settings. I can see over 300 mhz (before i'm not sure but i tought it was about 200 mHz in battery mode). And so battery consuming have increased a lot!!!

How can I return to original energy saving default configs ? And what are you original clocks setting with your X1400 and what do u use to overclok/underclock or power-manage ?

    Hi cyberderf,
Where did you find that cli.exe is just taking RAM? cli.exe is a process of the CCC and can be instanced more times. One is that small icon. One is complete CCC settings process. So If you disabled all of your cli.exe - there is no Powerplay enabled. Or any advanced powersavings. You can control it with NHC on the other hand. But in that case, why don't you uninstall CCC and have NHC for over and underclocking?
In my sig you can find that extreme underclocking can be better than Powerplay (on my x700 at least).

    Cheers,

    Thanks ikovac
But being unable to control anything via NHC after my mess with CLI.exe, i did install the DHZer0point 6.4 (Catalyst). Powerplay is back now. But if I disable it via NHC, I only get the default clock setting and a nice error msg when I try to adjust the timings.

Anyway, I've got my battery life back now!
