Hi, I am considering doing a screen upgrade on my laptop to 1080p (AUO B156hw01), however, I cannot figure out which one to buy. ScreenInTaepei is selling the V.4 on ebay, and it says EXACT, so I am assuming that is the exact model. There are also several V.7s, but none of them say that I will get the exact model, so It could be a compatible model. Is there much difference between the V.4 and V.7? If so, do any of you know where I can find an actual V.7, not a compatible screen?

screenintapei has a good reputation here and they will give you the exact screen you are buying.

I believe the V4 is the one for worldwide use and can be either glossy or matte.

I believe the V7 is specifically for Dell and is only glossy.

Someone replaced the screen in the same laptop I have (except their screen was already a 1080p panel) with the v7 and it apparently worked. My other question is, will I notice a difference in the V.7 over the V.4, or should I just get the V.4? The screen on Ebay is the matte version, which is what I am looking for.

I don't think there really is much of a difference. The V4 should fit fine and if it is the matte version, and that's the one you want, I would go for it.

Thanks for the input, I think I will go for the v.4.
