I have a regular US KB layouy using QWERTY. No problems there.
The thing is I am in France. I know how to change the language of the KB to frenh, no problems there either.
NOTE: I already know how to change language.
What I want to know is how to rearrange the AZERTY french keyboard into a QWERTY one, but maintaining french language. Since I am a touch-typist, and I dont even see the KB while typing, this is a problem when typing in french mode.
A and Q are swapped, W and Z, M and ;, and I cant get used to this while writting. C'est un problème!! (it is a problem)
So, I need to find a way to use AZERTY French mode KB, but find a way to rearrange the AQ, WZ, M; problem.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I want to add, does this rearrange include BIOS modification? Or can I do this in the control panel? Where? Can someone point this out for me please?

You might have to resort to a small remapping utility. On the upside, this is entirely done within Windows, so no hardware or BIOS tweaking is necessary. Of course, some people view it as a downside because you need to run a third party app, but I don't think it's too bad.

sorry but I don't get it. You have a physical US keyboard layout and have both the french and US layout installed on your Windows computer.
What you want:
Keep the french layout activated in Windows, but now with some keys software swapped so that they are on the same position they are in the US layout, because?
Maybe because with the US layout you can't type evey french special character, but you are a QWERTY touch typist?
However, if you want to manipulate a keyboard layout then use the Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator. There are a few tutorials out there which explain the rest. -
Get a swiss keyboard. only the y and z are swapped.
comming from a qwerty keyboard, the french one is really horrible. The swiss one is a pretty good compromise. -
At Frank.
I have a physical US KB layout. I am a touch typist in US layout. I am in France. I need french keyboard. AZERTY is a ****. I use QWERTY. I need to remap the AZERTY to make it QWERTY while maintaining french language.' I use a laptop. No money for an external KB, nor space.
How can I remap the keys? -
Is AZERTY the only layout for French language? Are you 100% sure?

This way you can create a new keyboard layout, which you then can install, which is based on AZERTY but has your remapped buttons:

UPDATE: problem solved. I Used MSKLC and the KB is fully functional now. Thanks a lot people for the help.
At NJoy, I know how to do that, but I needed the inverted accents and the ç but thanks nonetheless.
