I run EVERSEST HOME EDITION to check my lap, then I don't understand about CPU type: Intel, Pentium III ? Is it fake or a problem ?

Must be a bug in Everest, try the latest version (if there is one). Or try CPU-Z, another common CPU id tool used by many. I don’t think there are fake Core 2s floating around… Not easy to fake, I haven't heard anything about fake Intel CPUs after Pentium III s that was a long time back. BTW what is the notebook model ?

It has clearly mistaken the C2D for a P3; the fastest P3 released was 1GHz. I wouldn't worry about it.

A lot of hardware information programs identify Core architecture as being Pentium III, not sure why.

Especially older ones - 3DMark2001 SE picks up my C2D as a P3.
