Hi,
The RAM compartment cover under my Acer 5315 has 4 screws which I removed. But the cover will not come away. Is there some catch or more screws? is there a technique or can I just use force
Thank you

I'm sitting here with my bothers 5315 on my lap. Ok, so you already took out the 4 screws. There's a place right above the COA where you can place a standard screw driver and pry the panel open. There are little tabs holding the panel in so be careful not to break them.

Thanks so much - but what does COA mean??

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
25 digit Microsoft code that authenticates your OS. OEM's have tatto'd motherboards which activate with preimaged-discs or a COA just in case you lost your discs. -
Its the shinny sticker that says Microsoft and has 25 didgits on it.

More specifically, COA stands for "Certificate of Authenticity". As for the rest, it's pretty much what the other 2 have said.
