    Acer 1694wlmi core 2 duo upgrade

    Currently a pentium m 760

    Has anyone upgraded this laptop to a core duo cpu or does anyone know if its posible at all, i know the mobile core duo would fit but would it work.

    I am refering to the t2500 yonah 2ghz

    Any info would help

    Upgrading from a Pentium M to a Core/Core 2 series processors is not possible since Intel changed the socket configuration(it has the same number of pins but the pin configurations are different). Plus only i945 series chipsets support the Core/Core 2 processors.

    If you had a newer laptop with a core duo/core 2 duo, it might be possible to upgrade to a faster processor in the same series.
