    Hello and good day,

    So here's the skinny.

I have an Acer 9805WKHi Big Boy (lol) Laptop with a fried video card. I have taken it to be re-balled and investigated and no dice! She's done! But I would like to think I can rebuild her!

I was wondering, because the chassis is the same and the layout is the same, can I swap out a 9805 motherboard and replace that with a 9920G motherboard? If I can whats a suitable buils proc, ram, video card wise...I gathered that qfx770m is the card of choice, various procs up to t9XXX series work and ram is limited to 4gb? or?

I love this laptop and hate to throw such a still useful piece of hardware away.

.NetRoller3D, I require your expertise on this matter!

thanks for your time, assistance and opinions.

    Cheers :D
