Hi, i was trying to upgrade the HDD of my acer 1350 from 40gb to something bigger so i swap the 80gb from my other old lappy to the acer but to my suprise the matching seems not to recognise the HDD, i later returned the original 40gb back into the matchine and it works fine. i dont know what happen. the 80gb is ATA and already has OS and other programs in it. I'll be happy if anyone can help me out here.

    Thanks

no chance if you want to load the OS in another laptop.
Different H/w makes it unable to boot
If you do clean install it'll be fine. First check in Bios is the hdd detected or not.
