The problem is I can't get this laptop to connect to the internet using a wired broadband modem unless I change the integrated LAN setting from 'Auto' to '100Mbs Full'. When I change the sitting sometimes I'm lucky and able to connect but sometimes not.

I tried a PCMCIA Lan card that just works fine.

Is the Realtek 8139 on this laptop dying?

    Thanks :)
