I have an Acer 1710 that currently uses a Intel 82865G graphics controller.
Which does not work well with my newest version of 3D cad software.
Is there any way to upgrade my machine? I have read that the Nvidia Geforce GO 5700 is now being used successfully in the 1710 however when I open the bottom of my machine I do not see an upgradeable card. It appears that the graphics controller is built into the motherboard
Until upgrading to my new software for cad, it has been a wonderful workhorse (except for a bit of fan noise) and if anyone has recommendations as how to deal with that issue, I would appreciate hearing from you.
    Thanks :)
