    Hi,

I have just recently bought a Acer Aspire 3002LCi. My question is if I can upgrade my grahics in any way?

P.s.: I have allready put an extra strip of memory (256Mb+512Mb) and changed the video settings in the bios to 128Mb.

Nope, the graphics card is integrated onto the motherboard itself, so upgrading is quite impossible.

I realize this would be a major upgrade, but I'm curious if its even possible... Could you actually replace the motherboard? I realize this would probably involve replacing many other parts... the cpu, possibly the ram... but what else would keep you from doing that? In the future, maybe upgrade to a system with nonintegrated graphics even? If its possible, it seems it'd have to be cheaper than an entirely new system.

Well. Laptop motherboards are not standerdized. There are no ATX,BTX or mATX standards as it is in desktops. So you just cannot replace the existing one and put in a aftermarket motherboard. You will need to find a matching motherboard and the only place you can get these is through is direct from Acer or if someone is selling it on Ebay(pulled off of some trashed laptop). This in most cases actually works out to be costlier than getting a newer laptop. Even if you find a motherboard that fits (if you buy directly from Acer) will cost around $400 for the cheaper models and upwards of $700+ for the higher end versions. So it is not necessarily cheaper.
