I have an acer aspire 5220 with a NVIDIA nForce 560 rev. A2 chipset and Mobile AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3600+.

According to CPU ID program, my processor is Socket S1G1 series.

Now I will try to upgrade my single core cpu to a double core better one.

So does all s1g1 series amd processors are compatible with each other.

If that is the case I will buy AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-68 which I believe the best upgrade according to the specs.

But when I compare I also see a clock multiplier value which is 8 for my Amd sempron and 12 for Amd Turion.
Moreover the TDP is 25W for my Amd , 35 W for AMd Turion.

If these clock and TDP differences are not important I will buy the AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-68. If you also recommend me a better one for my Mobile Amd Sempron 3600+. I will also appreciate for that.

Note: Here is the comparison chart for my upgrade.

The 5220 is identical to the 5520 which has a Turion X2 TL-64 or an Athlon X2 TK-58 both at 35w TDP. TL-68 are rare and expensive, buy a TL-66. They are much, much cheaper and only have a 100mhz difference. You could also overclock it by 100mhz to make it have the same speed as the TL-68.
