I am planning to buy an 8GB SDHC card. I am wondering whether or not it will be recognized by the notebook, or if I need to buy a media card reader. I checked the notebook specs and only SD support is mentioned but I heard some readers are cross compatible. Did anyone test SDHC cards on Acer Aspire 5536 (not the G, just the 5536) ?

Well, it should work, and if it doesent just upgrade the driver.
If that fails then you just need to buy a USB card reader.

Not sure about size limitations but I have a 4GB SDHC and it works in my Aspire 5536.

    Hope that helps,
    Joe.
