    Hi,

I bought this week theAcer Aspire 5740DG-434G64Mn 15,6" TFT 3D with a Radeon HD 5650.

I would like to know if the memory clock is typically 750 MHz in the Acer notebooks?

    As you can see here:
    http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/4rrqv/

    Does anybody know?

The 50 MHz less make a difference?

    Thanks guys.

Should be fine. If you want to overclock it 50MHz, you can use nVidia's tools or Rivatuner or ATITool...

It should be fine, just a little bit slower than it should be. The proper speed of that gpu is 600/800, so it has 50 MHz of downclock in both engine and memory.

You can OC it with AMD GPU Clock Tool. Is maybe the only program that works for 5650 gpu at the moment.

You can put 600/800 to have a proper 5650 or you can put 650/800 to have a 5730 :)

I see you bought the 3D lappy with the upgraded 5650. Have you any thoughts on the 3D functionality? I heard it left a lot to be desired on the prior model, but the video adapter was only 1/2 as powerful. How do you find it on your machine?
