    Acer Aspire 5740 keyboard

    Hello, I need to buy a replacement keyboard for my Acer Aspire 5740 MS2286 laptop. I pulled out the keyboard and the model number is MP-09B23U4-442. On Amazon there are a few keyboards that are sold as replacements for the 5740, some of which only say it's for the 5740, and other says it's a "Replacement for Part Number: AS5810T-8952", however the picture of the keyboard shows it's identical to the one I'm replacing.

    Does anyone here know for sure if these two are compatible? Are there different versions of the ribbon connector and one won't fit the other?

    All the compatible models are listed under "Product description", I think they are compatible, . I have checked ebay and it mentions the compatible model NSK-AL001. Amazon.com: Laptop Keyboard for Acer Aspire 5740 5740G Series Replacement for Part Number: AS5810T-8952: Computers & Accessories

    Have a look at the customer reviews(Amazon.com link), another customer had fitted this keyboard in his 5740.

    Thanks, actually I ended up ordering one from eBay because it matched the model number. Fingers crossed.
