    Hi,

    I have a nVidia GeForce 8600M GS CG standard MXM II
    who died.
    This is a problem that is recurrent in this laptop.

    Do you know by any type of solid graphics card that does not heat too much I can replace it?

    Also there is t he way to unlock / modder the bios
    for Aspire 5920 ?

    If you want just to have picture HD3470 MXM-II is your choice. If you want something more powerful - ASUS GT 240m MXM-II.

    There's unlocked BIOS, but if you expect overclocking options, there aren't such things.

    GT240M MXM2 is the only choice if you want to avoid excessive heat. Some ebay sellers state for 5920G in their offers.
