    What is the current screen resolution on your laptop? If it's not the 1080p, I doubt you can buy the 1080p screen as it usually is a 40 pin connector while most 1368x768 screens use a 30 pin connector.

    Most likely you'll need a new cable as well. The only way to know this is to physically check the cable if it has all the wires.

    Sometimes the motherboard only has a 30 pin connector so buying a new cable doesn't always work. Some people sell on eBay a 30 to 40 pin adapter, I haven't ever tried those out though.

    Since it lists both displays as compatible, then most likely the MoBo connector is fine, it's just the cable. Those cables I think are for CCFL to LED display, since there is no way to make single to dual LVDS if the signaling is not there in first place.
