Does this make any sense to anyone? BEcause it sure as hell didnt to me..

i called acer because i wanted to know what hard drives my laptop supported..

they said 9.5 mm 500 gb 5400 RPM NOTHING more between height, speed, or capacity. They said my laptop is capped with the best hard drive.

This makes no sense to me..
can i support any 1TB hard drives tht are 12.5MM or a 500 gb 7400 momentus XT Hybrid drive?

    please respond ASAP thank you

I don't know why they said that, but your laptop can use ANY SATA 9.5MM hard drive.

Yes it will support any 9.5mm 2.5" drive. WD 750GB is the largest to date. Not a good performer though.

Momentus XT is the fastest available, besides SSDs of course.

I don't know it 12.5mm drives will fit, it might be worth asking owners of the specific laptop.
