    Acer Aspire 8943g optical drive problem

    Asked this question in the Acer section but thought I would get a response in this section better.


    So my optical drive has started to play up.

    It plays cds and blu ray discs fine but when I put in a dvd disc it doesnt seem to read them. I can hear the drive making a noise as if its trying to read something but its loading. I have tried deleting the filters in regedit and also reinstalled the driver but still doesnt work. I have tried an original dvd movie disc and that loads up fine but when I try a dvd disc that I have burnt it doesnt see to load or recognize a blank dvd so that I can burn something new.

    Note- I recently upgraded the memory in the laptop, not sure if that could have affected it
