    Hello,

I am looking into upgrading the memory of my Acer Aspire 9412 notebook. It currently has 1GB of ram and is running Vista. With the graphics card already eating a tad of that memory away I find that Vista doesn't always run as smooth as I would like it to.

I am pretty sure it's DDR2 RAM, but not sure what is the maximum supported speed. Also have no clue on how to upgrade it. I have built lots of computers but never before upgraded a notebook. I see several compartments on the bottomside of the notebook, which one is it that I need?

    Cheers

Looks like supports up to 4GB's, PC4200/4300 200pin SO-DIMM, that is DDR2 @533Mhz. 667Mhz PC5300/5400 will work just run at 533Mhz. Check out RAM Deals on this site and NewEgg.

The panels should have some small symbols in the plastic that give you an indication of what components it reveals. Can you post a picture of the bottom for us?

You're right, they're very small though. Didn't see them at first. Found it now. Apparently it's next to the HD-compartment.
