    The link you posted is to the Acer TravelMate TM2480-2968 not the aspire 3050 which AFAIK uses an AMD setup...

    Anyway you are asking if you can have three memory modules in a notebook? Well then the answer to your question is no. Notebooks only have 2 ram slots on their motherboards so if you want 2Gb of ram as you say then you will need to remove both those 512mb sticks (sell maybe) and replace them with two 1 Gb modules to get the 2Gb...
