    Hi there!

I have an Acer Aspire V3-571G. I'm planning to get the FHD screen featured in the Anandtech article. However, it's said that in order to get it working correctly I need a dual-channel LVDS cable and the original single-channel LVDS cable won't work.

Does the motherboard itself support this cable? So if I buy the screen and the cable, I'd be able to use a resolution of 1920x1080?

Also, can I fit any 1920x1080 15.6" LED-backlot panel I can get my hands on, or are there any other requirements? The panel is quite expensive and I think I can salvage some panels or get a cheap one on eBay and not need the one specifically mentioned by Anandtech ($150 is more than this replacement laptop with a 14" 1440x900 screen).

    Thank you :)

If the V3 is sold with a full HD pannel, it should work... You'll need the better cable and as for the screen, you should get the model they mentioned in the anandtech article as some pannels won't work... And $150 is what a normal full HD pannel costs at least so it won't cost less than that...
