Ok, so I bought a used Acer Aspire 7650G laptop pretty good overall condition.
The specs on this laptop 17.3" screen, 6GB DDR3 RAM, AMD A8 - 3250M 1.6Ghz, dual graphics card AMD radeon 7670M+6620G with 1GB dedicated VRAM with the possibility to add another HDD
The problem I have encountered is that the CPU is going extremely slow, its taking me way longer than a my other laptop with an i5 4210u, I have no clue why this laptop is extremely slow but has no reason to be there is no internal damage at all. I'm thinking of overclocking it to around 2.0-2.2Ghz. Any help is beneficial, or any tips on the AMD A8 processor.

Is it true that since the A8 doesn't have hyperthreading its ability to multitask is deficient explaining why the CPU on this laptop is running slow, and that overclocking it should fix the problem.

The AMD CPU's are like 10 generations behind in design.. Even with overclocking it's impossible to make up the defecit... The top AMD mobile CPU is like an intel core i3 CPU from ivy bridge/haswell..
