This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I'd like to get a MediaBay HD for my Travelmate 8204. Can't seem to find anyone in NA that sells either the complete unit or (preferbly) the bay without the drive.

    I get the impression that "MediaBay" may be a generic item that IBM and Dell also use. Would a MediaBay drive from one of those products fit and work? I can't imagine the outside would be exactly the same...

    Anyway, I don't mind paying if I can find the original.

    My impression is that the part number was something like LC.HDD03.008.
